Baylor Bear Energy Changes
There are a few changes to Baylor Bear Energy that we would like you to be aware of.
Since June of 2011, when Baylor Bear Energy was introduced as The Official Electricity Sponsor of Baylor Athletics, Champion Energy Services has served as the program's retail electricity provider. Unfortunately, Champion has chosen to no longer participate in the Baylor Bear Energy program and therefore, as of March 13th 2013, Baylor Bear Energy will no longer be powered by Champion Energy Services.
What does this mean for current customers?
If you are currently a customer with Baylor Bear Energy, you will continue to be billed as normal with one minor change; your bill will no longer be branded as Baylor Bear Energy. Starting this month, your electricity bill will be directly from Champion Energy Services. Please rest assured that you will not lose power during this transition phase. You will continue to receive the same electricity service and your price per kWh will not change until your current contract end date.
Also, Baylor Bear Energy will proudly continue to fulfill our commitment to the Longhorns and make the guaranteed contributions to Baylor Athletics on your behalf, through the end of your contract. Thank you for your understanding and allowing Baylor Bear Energy to power your home.
What happens to Baylor Bear Energy?
We are working diligently to partner with a new retail electricity provider with the intent to be available to Baylor fans in the coming months. We will keep you apprised of new developments with Baylor Bear Energy and look forward to again offering Baylor fans a great product at a great price that supports the Baylor University.
